Mexico's soccer federation has been disciplined on multiple occasions by FIFA for the chanting of a homophobic slur by national team fans, and the punishments have gotten heftier. Federation officials, organizers and soccer's governing bodies are adopting numerous efforts to stamp out the discriminatory chant from the game once and for all.
